Acquifolio v2 is built to keep financial definitions, source evidence, review decisions, and actual events distinct — and to record who did what, in which organization, and when. v2 is available; the roadmap lists what is still planned.
Reported, seller-adjusted, diligence-adjusted, covenant, run-rate, budget and realized earnings are separate measures, never silently substituted. Missing numbers show as unavailable, not zero. Converted figures disclose the original amount, rate, rate date, source and convention (spot, period-end or period-average); a missing or stale rate excludes the item and lists it, never treating it as zero or 1.0.
Files attach to the record they support. Each version keeps its SHA-256 checksum, uploader and time, prior versions are retained, and every download appears in the file’s access log.
IC approvals, released models and issued reports bind to a specific version. A later change marks them stale; approval is never inherited.
Capital events, reports, deadlines and covenant definitions are corrected by a new record linked to the original, never overwritten. Stale edits are rejected.
Every change writes an audit event with the actor and record. Each record shows its own activity; Owners, Admins and Partners read the organization log.
Seven internal roles plus external guests and investors. Outside parties see only what is explicitly granted, and the server checks permissions on every request.
Assistance drafts; authorized people decide. The assistant is read-only and cites its sources; values drafted from documents carry a page and quote the server checks against the document text, and people review and apply each row — nothing is applied automatically. Workflow rules only create internal work. IC votes and decisions, closing confirmation, fund approvals, valuations and report issue are limited to the roles that hold them.
Where a connector or licensed data source is not configured — docket feeds, bank or billing data, email delivery — the product says so and offers manual entry or import, never sample data presented as live.
Acquifolio does not provide SAML or SCIM provisioning, passkeys, email delivery of invitations, notices or password resets, object storage, malware scanning, OCR for scanned documents, certified reports, accounting, billing, bank or POS integrations, licensed data feeds, or independent security certification. Data-room watermarking applies to PDFs only.
